Episode 26: "Ready, Set, Read" in Spanish
On episode 26 of our downloadable audio program
(presented entirely in Spanish), we talked with family worker Luz
Villavicencio from Magical Rainbow Preschool in West
New York, New Jersey. How does the "Ready, Set, Read" curriculum
influence the school as whole? We learn how all members of this
community, including parents, directors, teachers, family workers, and
children have been positively affected by this program.

Healthy
Families-TIP Graduates
Our Healthy Families-TIP program has been featured in
several articles over the last few weeks, including a great write-up in
the Cape May County Herald.
On June 8th, ten families graduated from the free
parenting program while children enjoyed hand-decorated graduation caps,
face painting, and more.
Healthy Families-TIP is a free and voluntary program
for expecting parents and families with a baby that brings the services
right to their home. Trained home visitors are a great source of
information about community resources for parents, understanding and
supporting child development, learning new ways to bond with and enjoy
their baby, and coping with the stresses of being a new parent. The
program helps families work toward goals that the family chooses, all
while working with parents in the comfort of their own homes.

Families-TIP program.
