New Blog Posts + Podcast Episodes Available

Our official blog has been in full swing this summer!

The warm season may be coming to an end, but as Healthy Families-TIP Program Manager Gina Hernandez reminds us, it is important to "drive home" the issue about car safety,  specifically in regard to extreme temperatures. Each year, an average of 36 children die from hyperthermia due to being left unattended in a vehicle. Read up on some tips to keep kids safe in the car this and every summer.

Our "Guest Author" series also kicked off with a post from New Jersey non-profit consultant Marion Conway describing how the non-profit community is working together via social media and networking to get the word out there and gain amazing supporters like you.

Our downloadable audio program has also been updated with new episodes, including a feature on the recent "Kids Day" here at Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey. Listen in as children of all ages describe the impact their parents have on their lives!

Stay tuned for new shows, and subscribe to receive new episodes automatically as soon as they are released.

The Northern NJ Parent Empowerment Summit

The Northern NJ Parent Empowerment Summit is an initiative of the New Jersey Parent Information and Resource Center (NJPIRC), in conjunction with the New Jersey Parent Teacher Association (NJ PTA) to empower parents to be active participants in their children's lives and education.

NJPIRC invites all parents of children in preschool to grade 12 to join us for the Summit. A keynote presentation by National Award Winning Speaker Carol Ritter will focus on inspiring parents to get involved in their children's education.  Workshops will empower parents to prepare their children for success and inform them of ways to become active leaders in their child’s school community.
