Annual Teen Conference
This virtual conference is for adolescent parents who participate in the Parent Linking Program (PLP) from 8 high schools throughout the state. These programs help to assist young parents in keeping their commitment to completing high school, as well as learning to fulfill their important roles as parents. Our goal is to empower and educate the participants to continue on the path to success. This year’s theme is “Rising Strong.” The conference is funded by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families and hosted by Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey. Please note, this event is open to active participants in the Parent linking Program.
Each year at the conference, we award scholarships to eligible seniors who are planning to attend college or a higher education program. There are two scholarships that students can apply for: The Higher Education Book Scholarship – a book stipend that helps assist with the cost of books and the Diane Dellanno Scholarship – awarded to seniors who will be pursuing a career in the helping profession (social worker, teacher, counselor, nurse, etc.). To be eligible, students must meet the eligibility guidelines outlined in the applications. For more information or to apply, please download the applications below. The deadline to apply is April 30th.
